How we rank firms and verify codes
Every number on PERPSCOPE traces back to a firm’s official site, documentation or checkout. This page explains what we check, how the ranking is ordered and how each metric is calculated.
What we check for every firm
- Account sizes and list prices, taken from the firm’s checkout.
- The discount code: amount, what it applies to, whether it is first-purchase only and whether it combines with other codes.
- Profit targets per phase, daily loss limit (and what it is measured on), max loss, static or trailing drawdown, and the daily reset time.
- Profit split, payout frequency, minimum, method and processing time.
- Platform and execution, tradable markets, leverage and trading fees.
- Company details: legal entity, jurisdiction and background, when the firm publishes them.
Sources
Facts come only from the firm’s own website, rulebook, documentation, FAQ and checkout. Third-party reviews are never used as a source for rules or prices. Every firm page lists the official pages it was built from.
If we cannot verify a fact from an official source, we don’t publish it. The page says “Not stated by the firm” or leaves the line out.
Verification dates
Each firm page shows a “Verified” date, which is the last time its codes, prices and rules were checked against the sources. The date in the masthead is the most recent check across all firms. When a firm changes a price, code or rule, we update the page and its date.
Discount codes are checked against the firm’s checkout or its official referral terms.
How the ranking is ordered
- Rules clarity and verifiability: are limits, resets and payout conditions published and unambiguous?
- Real cost after the discount: cheapest entry and fee per $1 of max loss.
- Payout terms: frequency, minimum, method and stated processing time.
- Platform and execution: where prices and fills come from, markets and leverage.
- Track record and transparency: the team behind the firm and whether a legal entity is published.
The final order is an editorial decision made with these criteria. We don’t publish numeric scores, because they would suggest a precision the inputs can’t support. PERPSCOPE has affiliate agreements with the firms it lists, as stated on every page.
Metrics we calculate
- Price with code: list price minus the firm’s discount, using the firm’s own rounding rule.
- Fee per $1 of max loss: price with code divided by the max-loss allowance in dollars. Lower means more drawdown room per dollar spent.
- Profit to earn the fee back: price with code divided by the profit split.
- Static drawdown: the loss floor is fixed. Trailing drawdown: the floor follows the highest balance until it reaches the starting balance.
